Women's Rights in the Social System

Humans from beginning to grow up until finally died have basic rights that must be fullfiled. These basic rights must be achieved by every human being without difference of sex, race, nation, religion, and other status. These rights include the right to live, free from violence, slavery, and discrimination; to be educated; to own property; to vote; and to get a fair and equal salary. If human beings do not get their basic rights there is someone who took his right and this is called human rights violation. The deprivation of this right may be caused by the social system in society or the deprivation of the right by force like discriminate a particular individual or group.

Recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal rights of all members of the human beings and freedom, justice and peace in the world. Human beings shall enjoy freedom of speech and belief and freedom from fear and want has been proclaimed as the highest aspiration of the common people. Human rights should be protected by the rule of law.

Women are one of the groups whose basic rights are often deprived of either because of social systems or being took by force. First, the social system which in the eastern countries is the social system that less friendly with women because the majority of countries follow the patriarchal system. Partriarchy is a social system that exists in society that makes men as the ultimate authority figure in social organization. This system makes women have little or no role in social life of society. Patriarchal culture in social life will make the participation of women into something taboo. This is certainly the appearance of women in the role of social life will get rejection. In addition, there is a perception that women are considered as a weak person and become one of the factors that result in the role of women in the social life of the community is very little. Therefore, to fight the hegemony that demeans women is done by doing a perspective deconstruction.

Therefore, there needs to be a change of social system in society which has patriarchal culture and perception about weak women, if social life is entirely given to men this would certainly harm women. In social life the role and participation of women should be maximized in terms of human and economic development. In the development of human resources for example a child is certainly more often treated by a mother, of course the needs of a child is more known by women than men. The needs of this child must be met by the relevant authorities such as the state or the like so that the opinion of women in taking the policy is needed in order to create qualified human resources. Second, the forced appropriation of women's rights. Forcible deprivation of women's rights is usually done by trafficking women and women's exploitation. This is certainly very detrimental to women. Women are human beings who have basic rights, just like men. So that basic rights must be given and should not be obstructed either social system or criminal, of course there must be space for women in social and political life for the country to know the aspirations of women who should not be left alone. Women become one of the potentials that can help the development of human and economic resources.
